24/7 Emergency Electrical Callouts Across Yorkshire

We’re available right now. If your alarm won’t stop, your CCTV has gone down, or you have an electrical fault that can’t wait — call us. GC Electronics provides 24/7 emergency callouts across Yorkshire with no call centre. You’ll speak directly to the local engineer that helps you.

It’s the Right Call
Whatever the Time

If you’re hesitating because it’s late, because you’re not sure it’s serious enough, or because you don’t want to bother someone — please don’t. This is exactly what the 24/7 service is for. Here are the situations we’re called out to regularly. If yours is on this list, pick up the phone.

Your alarm is going off and you can’t stop it. A sounding alarm is distressing — for you, your family, and your neighbours. It may be a sensor fault, a flat battery, a tampered panel, or an actual intrusion. Whatever the cause, it needs dealing with immediately, not at 9am. Call us and we’ll come out.

Your alarm keeps triggering without reason. Repeated false activations — especially overnight — suggest a fault that won’t resolve itself. Left unattended, a system in this state can exhaust the battery, disturb the neighbourhood, and leave your property effectively unprotected. Don’t wait until morning.

You’ve had a break-in attempt or a security incident. If someone has tried to gain entry to your property, your first call is to the police. Your second call should be to us. We can attend to check your alarm system, your CCTV, your external lighting, and any door or window sensors to make sure everything is still operational and your property is secure.

Your CCTV system has gone down If your cameras have stopped recording or your remote viewing has dropped out, you may not realise it until you need the footage most. A system that appears to be working but isn’t is worse than no system at all. Call us and we’ll diagnose the issue.

Your smoke alarm won’t stop sounding A smoke alarm that activates without an obvious cause needs to be taken seriously every time. If you’ve confirmed there’s no fire and no smoke, the alarm may have developed a fault — but that’s a diagnosis we need to make, not an assumption you should make alone. Call us.

Your external security lighting has failed A working external light is a deterrent. A property where the lights suddenly go dark — particularly overnight — is a more attractive target. If your security lighting has failed, we can attend and restore it.

You’ve lost power to your alarm system or control panel A power fault affecting your alarm panel leaves your property unprotected. If your system is showing a power fault, mains failure, or has gone completely dark, call us. Don’t assume it’ll resolve itself.

You’re not sure — but something doesn’t feel right If something about your system seems off and your instinct is telling you it’s worth a call, trust that instinct. We’d rather talk you through something that turns out to be straightforward than have you spend the night worrying. Call us.

What Happens When You Call

We know that calling a tradesperson at 3am feels like an unusual thing to do. Here’s exactly what to expect when you contact GC Electronics outside of normal hours.

Step 1 - Speak to your local engineer

There’s no out-of-hours answering service, no call centre, and no voicemail system routing your call to a queue. When you call, your local engineer picks up.

Step 2 - We talk through the problem first

In many cases, we can help you resolve or safely manage the issue over the phone — particularly for alarm faults and false activations. If a callout is needed, we’ll tell you that clearly and confirm a time.

Step 3 - We attend as quickly as possible

For genuine emergencies, we attend as a priority. Our base in South Milford is well-placed to reach homes across Yorkshire, including Leeds, York, Doncaster, Harrogate, Bradford, and Hull.
